"Bhagavad Gita" written in Sanskrit is the holy book of Hindu religion. It appears in "Indian Epic Mahabarath". The programme presents the essence of Gita in two classical languages of India, in which the recitation of the Gita is conducted in Sanskrit and further elaboration is given in Tamil.

The Setting before the delivery of Gita by Lord Krishna will be told here. This is the Chapter 1 in Bhagavad Gita. Arjuna has requested Krishna to move his chariot between the two armies. His growing dejection is described as he fears losing friends and relatives as a consequence of war. If people who know reciting the verses are available, they will be invited to recite some of the verses in Sanskrit.
