For the next few weeks, while Noreen concentrates on caring for her own brand new addition to the radio world, we welcome Rosie Duffield to Radio 3. Hot foot from a stint in Germany with the British forces broadcaster BFBS, and previously a host at BBC Radio Lincolnshire in the UK, Rosie is really happy to be back in the land of her birth, and looking forward to sharing some great lunchtime chat and music with you...on The 123 Show.
A proposal to shut the bay in front of Sham Wan beach on Lamma was being discussed with LegCo and the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department this morning – it’s a step on from closing off the beach, which already happens every summer. It’s hoped that it will encourage marine life – including turtles and whale sharks - back to the area. Dr Robert Lockyer will be here after 2pm to tell you why he thinks it needs to be done, and how the talks with LegCo and the AFCD went.(1:15pm-3pm, or email email@example.com)
