PPP / The opening of Tai Kwun

On Monday's Backchat, PPP. The Head of the Task Force on Land Supply says its most controversial option is public-private partnership, with some worried about effectiveness, and others about possible government-business collusion. Can the Government partner with developers to build new houses, without favouring them unfairly? What about increasing the proportion of public housing units generated under the option to 50 or 70 per cent? What about simply using the Lands Resumption Ordinance to take back farmlands in the NT? Email us at backchat@rthk.hk, or call 23388266. After 9.20, the opening of Tai Kwun.

    主持人:Hugh Chiverton and Ada Wong

On Tuesday's Backchat, the bus crash in Taipo. How much do we know about the reasons for this terrible event, and what measures might stop it happening again? Do we need to rethink speed limits, working hours, pay and training for example? Do we generally underrate a responsible job? Were there warning signs ignored? After 9.20, Chinese style and British style marching.
