Launch of High Speed Rail / Reducing the use of glow sticks and lanterns

On Monday's Backchat, high speed rail. The Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link is launched on Sunday September 23. It's cost more than $80 billion and had more than its fair share of legal, environmental and management problems. Is it worth it? How did the first day go? Will it carry enough passengers? What about the ticket cost and ease of buying? Will you use it? What about the political and social impact of the new connection? Call us with your thoughts on 23388266 or email backchat@rthk.hk. After 9.20, reducing the use of glow sticks and lanterns during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Youth Policy and Public Engagement / Term Limits for PRC Presidents

    主持人:Hugh Chiverton and Ada Wong

On Tuesday's Backchat, what do young people actually think? The Commission on Youth has produced a report that presents views from some 1500 young people - on education, personal development, health, work, civic participation and other themes. What does it show about their views, and what do you think was missing in the survey? The Commission will be replaced by a new higher level body - what difference, if any, will that make to young people? Call us on 23388266 or email backchat@rthk.hk. After 9.20, no more term limits for PRC Presidents..
