Hong Kong's Role in China's Reform and Opening Up / Mainland Border Guards Farming on HK's Territory

    主持人:Hugh Chiverton and Ada Wong

While the government in China is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening up of the Mainland, we discuss on Tuesday's Backchat what was, what is and what will be Hong Kong’s role in the whole progress of the economic reform. What part did the city play as China opened to the West and to market reforms? Is there still a role for a special Hong Kong in the national economy as a trading centre, entrepot or bridge to the rest of the world?

Let us know your thoughts. You can leave a message on our Facebook page, Backchat on RTHK Radio 3, email us at backchat@rthk.hk. Or give us a call on 23388266.

After 9:20, Hong Kong land occupied by mainland border guards in Sha Tau Kok for farming.
