    General Post Office (R)

    The General Post Office in Central, built in 1976, is under threat of demolition.  But could the building be used in a different way?  Katty Law, of the Central and Western Concern Group, and Charles Wai, a PhD student in architectural history, think the building should be saved. They talk to Annemarie about architecture, letters home and stamp licking.

    Battle of Hong Kong Part II

    In the second part of an interview with history researcher Philip Cracknell along the Wong Nai Chung Gap trail, Annemarie hears about the doomed Battle of Hong Kong ahead of the territory’s surrender to Japanese forces on December 25, 1941, including the pill boxes and other defences.  David Bellis, of Gwulo.com also tells listeners about how they can access wartime diaries of soldiers and civilians who lived through the battle and occupation.
