    Connie Bolland, Founder and Chief Economist of Economic Research Analysis, says the rise in oil prices will benefit oil producing countries, like Russia and Canada, but would be detrimental to China’s economy as it is the biggest oil importer.

    Gavin Parry, Managing Director of Parry International Trading, says Chinese banks’ demand for proof of consumer loans being spent on consumer goods instead of real estate represents a move by the mainland authorities to exert further control over domestic monetary policies and the banking sector.
