Today on Morning Brew, Comrade Vines returns at 10.10 with the best of the worst. This week: Has the CE gone all "end of term", amid calls of "CY, tear down this wall". Basically "no" was his response to a request to open Civic Square to the public again, accompanied by locking himself in his bedroom for a bit and refusing to eat his dinner. Government security measures couldn't be any higher these days, as two guys put their fist through the window of an official's car two days ago and lifted a laptop from the back seat with the words "nick me" painted on it in fluorescent pink. And, two "would have been" Youngspiration legislators have been arrested on the rather complicated charge of "getting right up our nose". After 11.30 our MB Vet Dr. David Gething will return to talk about arthritis. At 12.10 we welcome author and poet Viki Holmes, to talk about her new poetry collection: Girls' Adventure Stories of Long Ago. Hong Kong's most accomplished bender...and stretcher, Chris Watts will be back with us at 12.40 to talk about faulty movement patterns, and other assorted painful stuff. (9:30am-1pm, email email@example.com )
Welcome to Morning Brew this St. Valentine's Day...kissy kissy. We begin today at 10.10 with the last of the luke warm lovers, Jarrod Watt. In the latest from down under this week: Australia is currently roasting under one of the most intense hot weather periods in history. How is its government responding - embrace solar power, or turn up to Parliament and fondle a piece of coal? Meanwhile, their musicians are still doing great things - who is the 25 year old Sydney bloke who has a brand new Grammy this morning, and what’s all this about a sighting of Angus Young - onstage with a guitar but not in a school uniform? After 11, all the latest from the world of cricket with Tim Cutler. At 12.10 Business Futurist Morris Miselowski joins us on the line from Melbourne to wish YouTube Happy Birthday, and give us the recipe for love at the age of 120.
