Welcome to a new week on Morning Brew. Our two Monday morning stars Tracy Quan and Robbie McRobbie are off on their travels today (separately, I think), and will be back soonest. Today is William Shakespeare's birthday, so to mark that we talk about how his legacy lives on in modern music. We welcome back to the programme two-time Emmy winning American composer and conductor (and Boss of Roven Records) Glen Roven on the line from New York. The music continues at 10.40 with the first in our series of annual chats about the Intimacy of Creativity Festival which is about to begin. Every year some of the world’s great musicians come to Hong Kong to compose, rehearse, and perform. We'll meet a few of them over the next couple of weeks. Today, we welcome back the Artistic Director and renowned composer Bright Sheng for an introduction. At 11.10 we find out about the City Nature Challenge 2018: Hong Kong 2018: Hong Kong with coordinator Shaun Martin. At 11.40 Chris Watts (who's been spouting bending and health on MB since 2004) will be with us to share some great news, and to talk about scoliosis.(9:30am-1pm, email email@example.com )
Welcome to Thursday on Morning Brew. At 10.10 Steve Vines joins us for his weekly look at the funny pages. Unless of course, even though he's a world class journalist with over 40 years experience at the top of his game, a former newspaper editor, international correspondent for some of the UK's best known papers including The Guardian‚ The Daily Telegraph‚ and The Independent, plus regularly appearing live on the BBC and Al Jazeera...it may simply slip his mind to be with us today. Hey Ho.Next! At 11.40, Vet Dr. David Gething will be with us to talk about happy...or not...multi pet households, and of course answer any questions you may have. After 12, Chris Watts talks about new info on coconut oil, neuroplasticity, baddd sugar, and a bit of bending. Our composer in residence JUNK! aka Glen Lloyd will be back to wrap things up at 12.40 with his usual brand of instamatic music making. Join us on Facebook Live.
