Carolyn Wright and Paul Haswell (AKA the Pop Fugitives) are plotting to make their Escape every Sunday morning between 9.30 and 1.
Carrying on from where they left off on Saturday nights on RTHK Radio 3, join them to hear excellent music, including tracks from their album of the week, as well as interviews and live music in the studio about upcoming events they think you ought to hear about, plus a selection of their favourite tracks from a different year each week.
Added to that they’ll be reviewing new movies, alongside much irreverent chit chat and interviews about food, drink and fun in HK, there’ll even be a bit of sport!
This Sunday the Pop Fugitives will be joined in the studio by photographer Jo Farrell. Her exhibition, BOUND, which is on at the HK Museum of Medical Sciences, documents the last of the women who underwent foot binding. The tradition died out last century, but Jo has spent years travelling around China, getting these women to tell their stories and allowing her to photograph their feet.
They'll also be rounding up all the action from this weekend's Sonar festival, including catching up with rising London based hip hop star Ms Banks.
As ever, there will also be heaps of new music, album of the week, what's in the box set and biscuits. There may even be a tribute to Ken Dodd!
This week the Pop Fugitives will be joined in the studio by Liz Thomas, co-founder of Food Savior. It's a brilliant idea to stop great food from being wasted and enabling you to get a bargain! She'll explain exactly how it works.
Plus Paul has been on the case, solving a murder mystery with very funky music. He'll be telling all (except whodunnit of course) about The Sexy Brutale.
And they'll have a heap of new music, an album of the week and biscuits hand delivered from England!
