Carolyn Wright and Paul Haswell (AKA the Pop Fugitives) are plotting to make their Escape every Sunday morning between 9.30 and 1.
Carrying on from where they left off on Saturday nights on RTHK Radio 3, join them to hear excellent music, including tracks from their album of the week, as well as interviews and live music in the studio about upcoming events they think you ought to hear about, plus a selection of their favourite tracks from a different year each week.
Added to that they’ll be reviewing new movies, alongside much irreverent chit chat and interviews about food, drink and fun in HK, there’ll even be a bit of sport!
This week the Pop Fugitives have mainly been playing games. First up, Splatoon 2 for the Nintendo Switch. It allows up to 8 players to virtually cover the place in paint in order to claim their turf. Then there's The End Is Nigh, the new game from Super Meat Boy creator Edmund McMillen, you play as Ash, a sentient ball of... ash, of course, seemingly the only survivor from some kind of apocalyptic event on a search to find a friend.
There will of course also be a heap of new music (possibly a load of Northern Soul if Paul's postbag at present is anything to go by), album of the week, what's in the box set and likely a tribute to Chester Bennington of Linkin Park.
Of course, the show wouldn't be complete without a visit to gastronomy corner, Carolyn really hopes Paul hasn't managed to find anything more disgusting to try than beanboozled beans. He has not been forgiven for those as yet!
This week the Pop Fugitives will be joined in the studio by Liz Thomas, co-founder of Food Savior. It's a brilliant idea to stop great food from being wasted and enabling you to get a bargain! She'll explain exactly how it works.
Plus Paul has been on the case, solving a murder mystery with very funky music. He'll be telling all (except whodunnit of course) about The Sexy Brutale.
And they'll have a heap of new music, an album of the week and biscuits hand delivered from England!
