Carolyn Wright and Paul Haswell (AKA the Pop Fugitives) are plotting to make their Escape every Sunday morning between 9.30 and 1.
Carrying on from where they left off on Saturday nights on RTHK Radio 3, join them to hear excellent music, including tracks from their album of the week, as well as interviews and live music in the studio about upcoming events they think you ought to hear about, plus a selection of their favourite tracks from a different year each week.
Added to that they’ll be reviewing new movies, alongside much irreverent chit chat and interviews about food, drink and fun in HK, there’ll even be a bit of sport!
This week the Pop Fugitives will mostly be focusing on games. John Guest of board game cafe and shop Jolly Thinkers will be popping into the studio to give them his lowdown on the Essen games fair. it's the biggest board games festival in the world and there are always exciting new releases to be found. John will have checked out the lot!
Paul has gone back in time (he always fancies himself as a bit of a time traveller), playing Call of Duty: WWII this week. A first person shooter it goes back to face battle on the Western Front. Apparently this can somehow feature zombies, which doesn't seem strictly historically accurate...
There will of course also be their album of the week, a heap of new music, more on bands to check out at Clockenflap this year, what's in the box set (which they failed to get round to last week), and possibly double biscuits, since they completely ran out of time for too!
