It's all about marriage
If we looking at the Wikipedia, marriage means “a socially or ritually recognized union or legal contract between spouses that establishes rights and obligations between them, between them and their children, and between them and their in-laws. It is principally an institution in which interpersonal relationships, usually sexual, are acknowledged.”
What a long definition. But definitely the definition of the term “marriage” is not that simple. No one can tell what marriage is, even for those who are already married.
Sue Wan also don’t have the answer, although she was very experienced in wedding. She was the bridesmaid of 31 brides.

Bridesmaid should have the most intimate relationship with the bride. But after the wedding night, bride becomes wife and then mother. The change of a woman’s identity means the priority also changes in her life. Sadly, at last, friendship between the bride and the bridesmaids fade out.
Some said, marriage is the important moment of a woman’s life. Sue doubts.
Simone de Beauvoir said, “Marriage is traditionally the destiny offered to women by society.” Is it true? When more and more friends saying “I do”, Sue is still single. “I am the creator of my own destiny.” she said.
