節目旨在介紹由桑格姆詩人以泰米爾語創作的詩歌。桑格姆文學對泰米爾語的文學發展，以至在倫理道德的普世價值上，都有深遠影響。 

The programme aims to introduce the Tamil poems written by the Sangam Poets. The Sangam literature not only has had an immense influence on the Tamil literature but also suggested some universal moral values.
