"The 1 2 3 Show", on Radio 3.
On Friday's 123 Show we hear about DB Mothers and Friends, a Discovery Bay-based social enterprise that provides a collection service for unwanted items and redistributes them to various charities and people in need. Founder Nikki Bouteiller joins us at 1.30. After 2, this week's Agender Cafe focuses on maternal mental health. Hosts Karen Koh and Noreen Mir are joined by psychotherapist Allison Heiliczer; Dr Lucy Lord, an obstetrician and gynecologist; Sonia Samtani, a hypnotherapist who's had two pregnancy losses; and Teresa Lee, who experienced a stillbirth and is currently helping other mothers who've been through the same. On Friday's 123 Show, we look back at women’s history month in March on this week's Agender Cafe. While there are many famous women who've make their mark over the centuries, there are also many whose stories are untold but no less interesting. Our former RTHK colleague, Crystal Kwok, has been working on a documentary based on the story of her grandmother, a Chinese woman who grew up in the racially divided American south of the 1930s. Crystal joins Hosts Karen Koh and Noreen Mir to share more about her work and her grandmother's story. (1:15pm-3pm, firstname.lastname@example.org)
