"The 1 2 3 Show", on Radio 3.
On Friday's 123 Show we're hearing about Karing Frontiers, a charity put together by a group of Hong Kong students to give financial support to secondary schools in refugee camps on the border between Thailand and Myanmar. We'll be joined by Angelica Cheng, who's a junior at Tufts University in the United States, and Benny Berkenkotter who's also a junior at the University of Vermont. After 2, on today's Agender Cafe, hosts Karen Koh and Noreen Mir look ahead to Mother’s Day, but with a twist. While we all have or had a mother, not everyone wants to be a mother. Today we’re going to talk about choosing to be childless, and how that choice is viewed in society. We’re joined by two women who’ve chosen to be child free. Tanja Wessels is a sustainability advocate, writer, and public speaker. Last year she gave her first TEDx talk and is in the process of launching her first business, a consultancy called Revive. We also hear from Laura Trakman, a Canadian-Australian living in Hong Kong for the past five years. Laura has a STEM background and has published work on human molecular genomics. On Tuesday's 123 Show, we're talking to Mayuri Punjabi, the founder of MyEurekaLife about her food health journey and how she hopes to help others develop a healthy relationship with food. That's at 1.30. After 2, Chewsday reporter Andrew Dembina joins us to talk about world food and drink happenings. And finally, after 2.30 Sadie Kaye is back with her skewed take on life in her monthly humour column, "Sharp Pains". This one's called "Home skool".
