Huawei and 5G network / WikiLeaks cofounder Julian Assange arrested in London

On Monday's Backchat, Backchat, Huawei and 5G network. The fifth generation of wireless technology promises lightning speed and higher capacity. By 2024, Swedish telecom giant Ericsson predicts 5G coverage will extend to over 40 percent of the world's population, unlocking the potential of the internet of things and faster mobile broadband - think of self-driving cars, smarter cities and virtual reality made almost real. But the technology has also become the frontline of a war for technological spremacy between China and the US. The US government has branded  the Chinese telecom giant Huawei a potential security threat, and Australia has already banned the use of Huawei's equipment in the 5G networks. Are the concerns justified, or are they really about market dominance? Why are some countries banning Huawei? Why is China so dominant in the field?  How will 5G really change our lives? Is it bad for your health?

After 9.20, WikiLeaks cofounder Julian Assange arrested in London.
