    On Wednesday’s Backchat, personal freedom and the national security law.
    Chief Executive Carrie Lam said on Tuesday that people don’t have to worry about freedoms in Hong Kong because of the new security law Beijing is planning for the city, saying the SAR has shown over the past two decades that it will uphold its core values.

    What could the government do to assure the public that their personal freedom won’t be affected under the new National Security Law?

    Fugitive Offenders Bill / Investing in online claw machines

     On Wednesday's Backchat, the Fugitive Offenders Bill. After another chaotic meeting, the different camps in Legco are looking for a way out of deadlock at the bills committee on extradition laws. Democratic Party lawmaker James To, who the pro-democracy camp say has already been elected as chair of the bills committee, called for a tripartite meeting between his camp, their rivals and government officials. A  convenor of the pro-government camp, Martin Liao, said they are open to dialogue. Is this the way forward? Is the Government hurrying unduly? What do you think of Legco's performance?
