Carrie Lam’s Apology and Suspension of Extradition Bill

    主持人:Hugh Chiverton and Rachel Cartland

On Wednesday's Backchat, Carrie Lam's and the extradition controversy. The CE has offered a 'sincere apology' to all Hong Kongers in a press conference, but hasn't budged on the issue of resignation, withdrawal of the bill, or clarification of a 'riot'. There will be no special enquiry of police actions, but she pledged to step up her work in the next three years and try to engage young people more. What do you make of her latest statements, and do you think she has listened to the protestors? Are the protests over? Are claims of police brutality justified? Why is the 'riot' tag so important? Call us on 23388266 or email backchat@rthk.hk.
