    Covid-19: Back to School

    主持人:Hugh Chiverton and Anna Fenton

On Thursday's Backchat, back to school.

Chief Executive Carrie Lam announced on Tuesday that secondary three to secondary five
students will be back in their classrooms from May 27, which will be just after the end of the
DSE exams which are currently underway.
But she said there will be no classes for the rest of this year for children in the first two years of
    kindergarten.
As for private and international schools, the government said they can open in two or three
    phases anytime from May 20.
Is the timing right? Can students catch up with the curriculum? What about fees? Is there
enough protective gear? What sort of distancing measures are appropriate in classrooms and
    playgrounds?
    8:30-9:00
Dr Ho Yuk-fan, Ester, principal of Carmel Alison Lam Foundation Secondary School
    9:00-9:30
Mervyn Cheung, Chairman, Hong Kong Education Policy Concern Organization
Alefiyah Ebrahim, Island School PTA Chair 2017-2019, Parent of a 16year old IB student at Island School.
