On Tuesday’s Backchat, Apple Daily, and the sanctions on HK officials. Scores of police officers on Monday conducted a raid at the Apple Daily building, following the arrest of its founder Jimmy Lai under the national security law. What do you make of the arrest of Jimmy Lai ? Is press freedom threatened? From 9:00am-9:30am, we’ll be joined by Convenor of Executive Council Bernard Chan to talk about the sanctions against Hong Kong officials including Carrie Lam. Is there any connection between sanctions and the Jimmy Lai arrest?
