9:15am-9:30am: Alok Jain, Managing Director, Trans-Consult Ltd.

On Tuesday's Backchat, LGBTQ communities in Hong Kong; and bus fares.

17th May was the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.

According to a recent CUHK survey 76% of local transgender respondents say they have faced rejection in different dimensions of social life, with 62% experiencing
victimisation.  What is the situation like for the LGBTQ communities in Hong Kong? Are feminists like JK Rowling who are concerned about preserving safe spaces for women, and who are sceptical about too easy gender recognition plans, transphobic?

From 9:15am-9:30am, we'll be discussing bus fares. Four bus operators were allowed to raise fares this year. But one company says it is still making massive losses and is likely to seek another fare increase. What do you think about it?

    Fake news; hiking safety

    主持人:Hugh Chiverton and Ada Wong

On Tuesday's Backchat, fake news - and hiking safety.

The Chief Executive, Carrie Lam, has said the government will introduce a series of new laws to tackle fake news, saying it has been the biggest victim , and the things the Government said were quickly distorted and vilified.

The police chief last week has accused a newspaper he didn't name of linking children who attended the police college open day on Thursday to 'black violence'.

Tang’s repeated criticism came after Apple Daily ran a side-story on its front page on Friday, saying children who attended the open day were given toy guns to play with, inside a mock-up of an MTR carriage.

Addressing the media on Saturday, Tang again accused the newspaper of inciting hatred and dividing society, adding that while there are currently no laws to tackle the dissemination of “fake news”, the force can address the issue by considering whether those involved have breached the national security law or committed acts of incitement.

Do you agree with Mr Tang's accusations? What kinds of laws should be used to regulate 'fake news' ? The National Security Law says the Government "shall take necessary measures to strengthen public communication, guidance, supervision and regulation over matters concerning national security, including those relating to schools, universities, social organisations, the media, and the internet." What sort of "supervision" and "regulation" might follow?

From 9:15am-9:30am, we will be discussing hiking safety following the death of a hiker whose body was found on the steep cliffs of Kowloon Peak.
