On Wednesday’s Backchat, population in Hong Kong and Mainland; and Olympics on TV.

China has seen a population growth in 2020, according to the official census released yesterday. However, the number of new births has fallen for the 4rth consecutive year and the share of Chinese senior citizens expanded. What do the statistics mean for China? Is it good to have a falling population? Is the age distribution an issue? Meanwhile in Hong Kong, a survey says most local women don't want to give birth, saying they don’t have enough money, space or time to raise a child. Is that how you feel? How will this affect Hong Kong?

From 9:15am-9:30am, we'll be discussing broadcasting rights to the Olympics. The Government has for the first time bought the broadcasting rights and it will be shown on 5 TV stations. What do you think about the purchase? How much does it cost for a TV license of a sports event?

On Wednesday's Backchat, press freedom in Hong Kong.
The Hong Kong Journalists Association warned on Monday that although media workers have never been more pessimistic about press freedom in the territory, the worst is yet to come.
Perceived levels of press freedom among Hong Kong journalists have crashed to the lowest on record according to the association's latest survey on the issue, with 85 percent of the more than 360 respondents blaming the SAR government.
99 per cent agreed the prosecution of RTHK contributor Bao Choy Yuk-ling was harmful to press freedom.
Meanwhile on Monday, RTHK began deleting some of its documentaries and other pro-grammes from YouTube, and outraging many people who see the move as an attempt to erase the public's memories in order to rewrite history.
Chief Executive Carrie Lam has insisted that there is no "new role" for RTHK and it is still Hong Kong's public broadcaster, amid fears the station is being transformed into a govern-ment mouthpiece.
Are you concerned that press freedom, guaranteed in the Basic Law under Article 27, is declining?
