On Friday's Backchat, challenges Hong Kong youth face.
A new study suggests young people in the city generally do not have high expectations for society, but they refuse to ‘lie flat’ – a phenomenon where teenagers opt to take a break from relentless work, or just do the bare minimum to get by.
The University of Hong Kong and the Child Development Initiative Alliance said young people they surveyed were concerned about their careers and life planning due to the pandemic and social movement, urging the government to offer more opportunities for them to climb up the ladder.
What do Hong Kong youth need? What more can we offer?
After 9.15am, we’ll have an overview of this year’s Food Expo which will last until next Monday.
