On Wednesday's Backchat, we're looking at whether a transitional housing project in Yuen Long… that appears to be falling flat.
Nearly half of the units at a housing project run by Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council, are still vacant after tenants started moving in 6 months ago.
The welfare group expressed hope the government would do more to promote the flats.
But why are people not taking advantage of the new project given Hong Kong’s acute housing shortage? Is it about the lack of promotion, the location, or something else?
And after 9:15am, does size matter? Yes it does, when it comes to diamond engagement rings ac-cording to a new survey.
And at 9.25am, we'll be joined by RTHK sports correspondent Atom Cheung with the latest on the World Cup.

On Friday's Backchat, we look at what‘s to become of Hong Kong’s Covid isolation facilities.

It’s understood that the government will assess all available Covid isolation and treatment facilities and explore the possibility of converting them into transitional housing.

According to local media reports, facilities with private washrooms will be first in line — making the Kai Tak Community isolation facility a likely choice.

The idea was welcomed by housing concern groups, but others are worried about its possible impact on tourism and the development of the Kai Tak area into a business and sports hub.

After 9:15, we’ll look at how a million year old skull found on the mainland provides insight in human evolutionary.
