Proposal to reform end of life care / Vaccination recommendations / Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis / Canton Modern M+ exhibition

On Friday's Backchat, we talked to a representative from Our Hong Kong Foundation to learn more about their proposal to reform the way the city handles end of life care.

The foundation says current services are fragmented and predominantly focused on medical treatment, and patients' psychological and spiritual needs are often overlooked.
After that, we found out from a doctor on the Hong Kong Medical Association's latest guidelines on seven types of vaccinations.
After the news, we learned more about Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis -- the most common form of paediatric scoliosis occurring in youngsters between the ages of 10 and 18.
And finally to end the show, we immersed ourvelves into the city's arts scene and learned more about the Canton Modern exhibition at the M+ museum, which showcases 20th century Cantonese art and visual culture.

Heatwave related deaths / Mainland athletes visiting Hong Kong

    主持人:Janice Wong and Philip Wong

On Wednesday's Backchat, we're talking about the hot weather and what we can do to mitigate its impact.

The observatory on Monday said it had recorded Hong Kong's hottest day so far this year, with the mercury hitting 35.4 degrees Celsius at its headquarters in Tsim Sha Tsui. The highest temperature of 38.9 degrees was recorded in Sheung Shui. It warned that the city could see above-normal temperatures in the next few months.
This comes as experts from the University of Hong Kong urged authorities to come up with an extreme weather action plan to help people deal with the impact of high temperatures here.
A new study by the university claimed that heatwaves over the past decade may have cost the lives of more than 1,600 people. So what should be included in this action plan? And how are people coping with the hot weather at the moment?
After 9:45am, we talk about mainland Olympic stars that are expected to visit Hong Kong later this month.
