Nadia Murad
by Mahmoud

From Sinjar to Mosul,
From Mosul to Baghdad
She was the one…
Who had the guts…
To expose the ugliness;
Twenty-first century’s shame;
The ISIS Thugs
That’s why, with HER
GLORY’s had another name:
NADIA MURAD

From Sinjar to Mosul,
From Mosul to Baghdad,
It was NADIA who freed us all.
When began to tell
When round the breast’s neck
SHE hung a bell.
And sent the stains
Who kill, rape and maim…
Into a deserved hell
That’s why, with HER
Honor as well
Has had a new name:
NADIA MURAD.

When SHE pointed out
When SHE pointed her finger at
the awful outlaws
raising up the call;
SHE dug a hole
In the silence wall.
SHE cut a sword
With a rose
Long-living women’s cause
Making all the raped
all those enslaved
Victorious of all.

SHE put THEIR (the VICTIMS’) shoes…
On the rapist’s head
It was THEY who won…
In the very end;
The ONES to send…
Their and our foes…
Into a deserved hell
The ONES to dwell…
In a heaven of…
A PEACEFUL SOUL
That’s why…no one…
To let down or to sell…
NADIA MURAD.

How many Nadia-Murads
as victims
do we have around the world?
How many Nadia-Murads
as FIGHTERS
do we have around the world?
If all of us
Looked into our eyes in the mirror…
took action and gave the proper answers…
then WE all would be the VICTORS.
Then WE, THE WORLD would be the VICTOR
That’s why…that’s why…
GLORY and HONOR
As the same name.
Have had a joint name:
NADIA MURAD
---the end---
