In this week's episode, we will be discussing Asia’s demography and competitiveness. Paul Cheung, Director and Professor in Practice at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, will present an analysis of Singapore's population policy over the past four decades to highlight its successes and challenges. He was invited by the Asia Global Institute to give a lecture entitled “Asia’s Demographic Challenges: Scenarios and Adaptive Strategies.”

In this week's episode, we will be continuing on the topic of sustainable food systems, with three speakers: Mr Vincent Deleu, Director of Waste Treatment & Recovery Business Line, General Manager of T· Park, Veolia; Professor Wong Ka-hing, Director of Research Institute for Future Food and Professor of Food Science and Nutrition at Polytechnic University; and Dr Ben Leu, Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Polytechnic University. They will share their insights on working towards a more sustainable food waste management and creating values in food waste through technology. The three speakers spoke with moderator Professor Christina Wong, Director of Research and Innovation at Polytechnic University. They were invited to the Sustainability Lecture Series, jointly organised by the Research and Innovation Office and the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong & Macau, with support from Polytechnic University’s Department of Food Science and Nutrition and the Research Institute for Future Food, to have a panel discussion entitled “Food Waste Management: Creating Values in Food Waste through Technology”.
