    Alex Wong, Director of Asset Management at Ample Capital, comments that investors are worried about the restrictions on Huawei, which will create a ripple effect on the Chinese economy since the tech-giant is a major contributor to Shenzhen's GDP.

    Talking about President Trump's visit to Japan, Michelle Lam, Greater China Economist at Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking, points out that a number of Japanese companies are following the direction of the US and are suspending the supply of electronic parts to Huawei.

    Brock Silvers, Managing Director at Kaiyuan Capital, says that the ongoing trade dispute and the rise in production costs on the mainland have increased the supply chain migration to other countries like Vietnam and Thailand and he doesn't expect them to return.
