Good morning! Welcome to Friday on Morning Brew. Recently, we have seen the rebirth of Central Market! After several years resting, the building has been repurposed, gentrified, modernised...whatever you wanna call it, and of course it's open again! This process is called "placemaking". Now, as you might know, Singapore is brilliant at this, and to explain this process in more detail, I'm joined at 10:30 by Jacky Cheng from the architecture company JERDE. After 11, it is Sports and All with Danny Hicks; today we've got Ryder Cup, F1, and footy! At 11:40, the fifth and final part of 'Music of My Life'; James Ross talks to the legendary music manager Miles Copeland, who chooses the music and tells a bit more of his story. After 12, of course, it's Marshy Movie Time! Our film critic James Marsh will give you the best and worst of film right here on the Morning Brew.
Welcome to Fryday on Morning Brew. We'll do some more of your summer song requests after the news at 9. Just email (email@example.com) or drop us a line on Facebook. At 10.10 its more culinary confusion with Chefs "Chicken Jack" Carson and Wes Long. Mail in any questions or tips of your own. After 12, we're off to the movies, this time with the one and only Rabbi Of Reel, Howard Elias, who's been kindly lent to us from Radio 4...with the proviso we don't send him back. Its the day we've all been waiting for, as he'll talk about Ghostbusters.
