Catch it live:
Monday to Friday 9.30am - 1pm
Good morning! Welcome to a new week on Morning Brew. At 10:10, we'll receive our weekly dose of rugby news from Robbie McRobbie. After that, our New York correspondent Tracy Quan will take us to the Cooper-Hewitt Museum at the Smithsonian, plus we've got book club and other assorted bits as well from the Big Apple. After 11:30, we're gonna meet bilingual actor, singer, and composer Micah Sandt, who's starring in "The Bonn Man" this Saturday, with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong. It's the story of Beethoven's battle with deafness, as told by his right-hand man, Ferdinand Ries. After 12, we'll chat with Neil Runcieman, who's joining us live from Ho Chi Minh City.
Welcome to Monday on Morning Brew, as we return to the way more civilized time of "post Backchat". We hit the rugby field with Robbie McRobbie after 10 for his regular look at the Asian and local game. At 10.40, broadcaster, sports writer, and professional Canadian Tim Noonan joins us on the line to talk about a very moving Canadian musical moment a couple of days back...the end of an era. Also, he'll undoubtedly give us his 10 cents on the Olympics. At 11.10 we look at Hong Kong's best kept sporting secret. Yesterday morning Phil went to visit another kind of Team HK who were busy in training to take on the world next Thursday in France. The atmosphere was pure testosterone driven electricity and quite frankly, rather dangerous for Phil to even be in the room. Listen to see if you too could be up to this challenge.
