Weekday programme Morning Brew is a chat and music show. Hosted by Phil Whelan, guests include regular contributors and drop-ins, who span topics from earnest current affairs to cookery to the arts.
Catch it live:
Monday to Friday 9.30am - 1pm
Today on Morning Brew, as Steve Vines is away for one more week, we (hopefully, as he's currently in airport soup) welcome back Al Jazeera's man in China, Adrian Brown after 10. At 10.40, we talk about the technology of learning languages and speech therapy, with Fiona McElhone. MB's tame classics scholar and author, Angelo Paratico joins us after 11 to talk Boxers, Genghis Khan and other historical juiciness contained in his brand new book "The Dew Of Heaven". Live music for you after 11.30 with the talented young musicians of Y-Rock, who will tell us about their upcoming International Music Challenge. We're off to the movies a day early this week, as tomorrow's a holiday. Today James Marsh will try his hardest to convince us that plastic surgery these days has come a long way (if you squint a little and dim the lights), whilst talking about "Bridget Jones's Baby".
