Welcome to a new week on Morning Brew. Today in 1995 the legendary “Invictus” Rugby World Cup final was played between South Africa and New Zealand. That’s an extra special reason to start the week with the latest from the CEO of HK Rugby, Robbie McRobbie. At 12.10 we’ll find out all about the upcoming tenth anniversary edition of Hong Kong's local live music showcase, H2 Live Music Festival 2019. Today we meet its creative brains Keith Goodman and John Prymmer.

Good Morning and welcome to Thursday on the Brew. Steve Vines will be with us at 10.10. With July 1st but days away are the cooks in Hong Kong’s political kitchen about to create the perfect bitter dish that may just boil right over when the timer hits 0? All the ingredients are there; alleged political jailings, a delivery of new heavy duty toys to the police that will arrive “by the end of he month”, allegations of (at best) incompetence, and a massive blame game at MTR Head Quarters. And, last desperate attempts by the Pan Dems in Legco to prevent former Governor Chris Patten’s prophecy of Hong Kong giving itself away inch by inch...becoming an ominous reality. As always we love to hear from you. MB Vet Dr. David Gething is away on a massive charity adventure, and just hours ago he and his partner in pain landed in France after swimming the English Channel. Amazing! Chris Watts will be with us at 11.40 today to talk about preparing your nervous system for sport (3 Pints?). We wrap up after 12.30 by welcoming back our composer in residence in all his garish splendour...JUNK! Join us on Facebook Live.
