Welcome to Friday on Morning Brew, where relative normality returns after quite a week. At 10.40 today composer and conductor Colin Touchin will be with us for this week’s ‘classical’ music chat. He’ll return to his normal Wednesday slot next week. Today he wants to talk about how the musical greats interpreted the weather in their work. Topical indeed, with some wonderful musical examples too. After 11 Danny Hicks will be with us for more ‘Sports and All’. And, at 12.10 it’s Marshy Movie Time. Critic James Marsh brings you the week’s hits and misses in film. Join him and Danny on Facebook live.
Welcome to Fryday on Morning Brew. As the cooler and dryer Autumn weather is upon us, we’ll probably start to change what we eat a little. In fact, it won’t be long now until Hong Kong brings out its favourite end of year accessory... the hotpot. Chef Chris “Wayne” Kerr returns after 10 with his ideas for food in the fall. After 12 we’re off to Korea, and of course the movies. Reviewer James Marsh is on his travels again and today joins us from the Busan International Film Festival with his thoughts on Venom, and A Simple Favour.(9:30am-1pm, email email@example.com )
