Welcome to Fryday on Morning Brew. We’re off to San Francisco at 10.10 to talk to Chef Matt Dolan, live from his restaurant Twenty Five Lusk. He’s a world class chef by night and secret dumpling fiend by day, so that’s what’s on the menu today. After 11 it’s all about Hong Kong’s one and only science fiction conference, Melon 2019: Aliens on the Galactic Silk Road. We welcome the founder Fritz Demopoulos and special guest Robbie Stamp, who is the Executive Producer of the movie version of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. At 11.40 we find out about an upcoming dance performance with quite a difference. “Sidestepped: A Dance for Selective Amnesia” is a collaboration between Butoh choreographer Masami Yurabe and renowned British cellist Oliver Coates. Both of them join us in the studio this morning. After 12 James Marsh is back again with this week’s movie review. Joining James today will be film maker Alexandre Philippe, whose new documentary "Memory: The Origins of Alien" plays tonight at the Hong Kong International Film Festival. We'll be on Facebook Live. (9:30am-1pm, email firstname.lastname@example.org )
Welcome to Thursday on Morning Brew. At 10.10 Steve Vines returns with more grim fairy tales of life in Asia’s Weird City. As always we’d love to hear your thoughts via email on the week in news. At 11.40 we welcome back Vet and animal physio Dr. Jane McNae. At 12.10, RTL France’s man in Hong Kong Philippe Dova will be with us to share his week’s work, and play some more of that amazing French music he likes so much. Our man JUNK will be in the studio at 12.40 for more live music making and fun. Join us on Facebook Live. (9:30am-1pm, email email@example.com )
