It’s Tuesday on Morning Brew and we have a luxury list of guests for you today. After 10 we meet singing star Alison Lau. She’s a multi award winning Hong Kong based soprano, who will be sharing the stage here this weekend in a one-off show with the legendary tenor José Carreras. After 10.30 Aus Boy Jarrod Watt returns with all the latest from down under plus, of course, some great Aussie music. Dr. Merrin Pearse brings us his weekly eco bit from New Zealand today at 11.10. After 11.30, live from Tokyo, we’ll meet the hottest name in comedy right now, Scotsman Daniel Sloss. His career to date can be described as nothing short of phenomenal. He’s taken Netflix, and indeed...America by storm, and he’s all set to bring his show “Daniel Sloss: X” to Hong Kong this Friday. It’s back to Melbourne after 12 for this week’s biz futurism chat with Morris Miselowski. Today we’ll have a look under the hood at the banned app HKmaps.live. In a climate where “putting profit before human lives” is a common accusation leveled at corporates, the BBC says that “few are convinced” by Apple’s decision to pull this app. We’ll look at the generic technology behind apps of this ilk. Welcome to Tuesday on Morning Brew. However short the week is, we’ll always start with a bit of rugby from Robbie McRobbie joins us at 10.10 today. At 10.40 our weekly catch up with Dr. Merrin Pearse for some eco news. After 11 it’s Jarrod Watt’s yearly pilgrimage to the studio. As usual he’ll bring you all the Aussie news that’s fit to broadcast plus some top handcrafted antipodean sounds. At 12.10 Morris Miselowski will be with us for this week’s business futures, and to ponder whether or not smartphone manufacturers are just asking for trouble with new foldable screens.(9:30am-1pm, email firstname.lastname@example.org )
