Welcome to Friday on Morning Brew. We have a chef of a different kind at 10.40 today. Brewer Luke Yardley of Yardley Brothers Beer fame joins us. He’ll give you a crash course in brewing, and tell the wonderful Hong Kong story of how he started his now very successful business in his living room. After 12 we’re off to the movies with James Marsh. Join him on Facebook Live for this week’s hits and misses, including Judy, Bad Boys For Life, and sifting through the Oscar Nominations. Who was snubbed? Who was unworthy? And who deserves to take home the gold statue on 9 Feb? (9:30am-1pm, email email@example.com and Facebook)
Welcome to a new week on Morning Brew. We begin as usual with our regular rugby update from CEO of HK Rugby, Robbie McRobbie. He’s got all the latest in the local and Asian game for you. At 11.10 we’ll find out about his year’s Darkness into Light Hong Kong walk. Hong Kong’s Irish community is once again organising this huge event to show support for those who’ve been bereaved by suicide. It’s happening this coming Saturday, and we’ll find out more from two of the organisers, Brigit Mullane and Clarence Tsang (from Samaritan Befrienders HK). Join us on Facebook Live for this. After 12, we catch up with Canadian adventurer and film maker Markus Pukonen who’s travelling the world using only human power. Last time we talked he was trying to find a way across a large expanse of water. Seems he may have finally done it, but was it plain sailing ? Check out his page Routes of Change for more.
