Good morning. We’ve reached Fryday again on Morning Brew. Chef Jason Black (Empire HK) is with us after 10, live from his hermit cabin in the hills of Durban, South Africa. After 11.30 we meet violinist Edward Dusinberre, who is the leader of the world famous, and multi award winning Takács Quartet. They are performing all of Béla Bartók’s string quartets this weekend at HKU. That’s no mean feat, but will be an amazing experience for fans of this legendary ensemble. After 12 it’s Marshy Movie Time Lite, as we catch up with James live from the supremely geeky Fantastic Fest in Austin Texas. (9:30am-1pm, email email@example.com )
Welcome to Fryday on Morning Brew. At 10.10...flatbreads of the world. Chef Jason Black (Empire HK) joins us on the line from Durban, South Africa for his weekly cooking class. After that you may need some speedy (and totally drug free) recovery, so at 11.40 we meet Caroline Kremer-Cadoret, who’s dedicated her life to developing a method and technique for doing just that. After a deep personal tragedy twenty years ago, Caroline decided there must other paths to recovery after injury that do not involve pharmaceuticals. The Kremer Method has particularly helped performing artists over the years, and we’ll find out how. At 12.10, movie man James Marsh returns with this week’s best and worst new releases, including John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, Arctic, and Krasue: Inhuman Kiss.
