Jarrod Watt – Aussie journalist / Merrin Pearse – Sustainablitist / Brennan Reece – Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow

Welcome to Morning Brew. Phil’s back with you today, and despite Morris Miselowski being away in the air somewhere, we still have the requisite Tuesday antipodean flavour. After 10.30 Jarrod Watt is with us for his weekly report from home. He has a couple a great Aussie tracks for you too. At 11.10 Dr. Merrin Pearse is back for this week’s eco bit. After 11.30 our second guest of the week from the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow, a brilliant annual event run by the guys at the Hong Kong Fringe Club. We meet comic Brennan Reece. Actually from the UK, he won the “English Comedian of the Year” title in 2015, and best newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2015. Morris will be back with us next week for more business futurism...and stuff.

Steve Vines – Hong Kong Issues / Shaun Martin – City Nature Challenge / JC Viens – Wine expert

    主持人:Phil Whelan

It’s Thursday on Morning Brew. As usual we welcome commentator Steve Vines at 10.10. This week some very obvious questions are being asked. Is the “good old Hong Kong” clock finally reading one minute to midnight? Are those who say Hong Kong is being given away slice by slice correct? And, if they are, what do those responsible really expect as a reward from the Chinese government? History is full of “such people” not quite receiving the result they banked on. As always we love hearing from you via email. After 11.30 we’ll find out how local teams fared in this year’s City Nature Challenge. Organiser Shaun Martin returns with all the results from this super, app-based competition for naturists. Dr. Dave the vet is away visiting Dracula’s castle this week, and will be back next Thursday. After 12 our weekly wine appreciation class with Maestro JC Viens. (9:30am-1pm, email morningbrew@rthk.hk )
