Welcome to Wednesday on Morning Brew. We’re off to the sunny (even at night) Caribbean at 9.40 today to catch up with our friend Janice Jensen from Nevis Animal Speak. Do you find learning languages difficult? After 10.30 we’re going to meet visiting author polyglot Elisa Polese. She speaks 13 languages: Italian, German, Russian, English, French, Spanish, Catalan, Dutch, Greek, Arabic, Hindi, Esperanto, and Brazilian Portuguese. In her book ‘Multilingual learning: how to become fluent in multiple languages’ she maintains it’s really not that difficult (riiiiiight!). Philippe Dova from RTL France will be with us at his usual time of 11.40 today with more stories and Frenchness. No Pilates today, as Jason is busy, so instead our friend Chris Watts joins us for some health chat. (9:30am-1pm, email firstname.lastname@example.org )
It’s Thursday on Morning Brew. As usual we welcome commentator Steve Vines at 10.10. This week some very obvious questions are being asked. Is the “good old Hong Kong” clock finally reading one minute to midnight? Are those who say Hong Kong is being given away slice by slice correct? And, if they are, what do those responsible really expect as a reward from the Chinese government? History is full of “such people” not quite receiving the result they banked on. As always we love hearing from you via email. After 11.30 we’ll find out how local teams fared in this year’s City Nature Challenge. Organiser Shaun Martin returns with all the results from this super, app-based competition for naturists. Dr. Dave the vet is away visiting Dracula’s castle this week, and will be back next Thursday. After 12 our weekly wine appreciation class with Maestro JC Viens. (9:30am-1pm, email email@example.com )
