Welcome to Friday on Morning Brew. We have a chef of a different kind at 10.40 today. Brewer Luke Yardley of Yardley Brothers Beer fame joins us. He’ll give you a crash course in brewing, and tell the wonderful Hong Kong story of how he started his now very successful business in his living room. After 12 we’re off to the movies with James Marsh. Join him on Facebook Live for this week’s hits and misses, including Judy, Bad Boys For Life, and sifting through the Oscar Nominations. Who was snubbed? Who was unworthy? And who deserves to take home the gold statue on 9 Feb? (9:30am-1pm, email email@example.com and Facebook)
On today’s Morning Brew it’s Steve Vines time again at 10.10. The extradition issue now has more angles than the Eiffel Tower and it looks set to keep Hong Kong’s (and increasingly, international) news outlets in work for some time to come. The world’s second biggest smartphone maker played the “poor us, feelings hurt, etc” card yesterday. Also, June 4th approaches; the day when in 1989 nothing to speak of particularly, in fact just a normal working day really...happened in Beijing. Join us with your comments via email. After 11.30 our vet Dr. David Gething returns from visiting Dracula’s (Bran) Castle in Transylvania. Without cracking a smile, he suggested we talk “blood” today. So be it. We’ll supply the silver bullets and stuff. As always feel free to ask him any furry questions you may have. At 12.10 our weekly wine whine with Maestro JC Viens. To wrap up at 12.40 Chris Watts joins us to talk about a lecture he’s giving on fascial fitness. (9:30am-1pm, email firstname.lastname@example.org )
