Sally Lo – Clap for Hong Kong / Leee John – Music Of My Life / Christopher Dillon – Property market / James Marsh – Films

James Ross in for Phil this week and next, and this morning we find out about the citywide clap which is planned for tonight at 8pm. The event by the Hong Kong Community Foundation mirrors similar claps around the world, including the UK, as we salute heroes who've been working tirelessly to keep Hong Kong safe during the coronavirus crisis. Sally Lo is the founder of the Hong Kong Cancer Fund, which is supporting the event, and she'll tell us more at 10.15. After 11 we'll have the final part of Music of My Life with LEEE JOHN of 80's supergroup Imagination, and his music choices, and then after 11.30 author Christopher Dillon joins us to talk about the state of the property market here. Chris is the author of the "Landed" series of books about property, such as Landed Hong Kong and Landed Japan. After 12 James Marsh is on the show with our Friday movie and streaming extravaganza, and today he's focused on Tiger King and Freud.

Steve Vines – Hong Kong Issues / Dr. David Gething – Vet / JC Viens – Wine expert / Chris Watts – Fascial fitness

    主持人:Phil Whelan

On today’s Morning Brew it’s Steve Vines time again at 10.10. The extradition issue now has more angles than the Eiffel Tower and it looks set to keep Hong Kong’s (and increasingly, international) news outlets in work for some time to come. The world’s second biggest smartphone maker played the “poor us, feelings hurt, etc” card yesterday. Also, June 4th approaches; the day when in 1989 nothing to speak of particularly, in fact just a normal working day really...happened in Beijing. Join us with your comments via email. After 11.30 our vet Dr. David Gething returns from visiting Dracula’s (Bran) Castle in Transylvania. Without cracking a smile, he suggested we talk “blood” today. So be it. We’ll supply the silver bullets and stuff. As always feel free to ask him any furry questions you may have. At 12.10 our weekly wine whine with Maestro JC Viens. To wrap up at 12.40 Chris Watts joins us to talk about a lecture he’s giving on fascial fitness. (9:30am-1pm, email morningbrew@rthk.hk )
