Monday morning after a weekend of craziness, but we press on regardless, as James Ross sits in for Phil today. No rugby today as Robbie McRobbie takes a short break, but we do have William Nader, Director of Racing at the Hong Kong Jockey club (HKJC Racing), with the latest on the horses. Plus we focus on Italian food in Hong Kong, as part of the Italia Mia Festival. We'll be joined by Savio Pesavento of the Academy of Italian Cuisine and Dr Filippo Scevola of the University of Turin who'll tell us about the positive health benefits of a pinch of salt! After 11 the world of story-telling and we focus on a new opera-play called 'Anne & Zef' - about Anne Frank, victim of the Jewish Holocaust in World War II, and another young victim, Zef, killed in the Albanian war in the 90's. Composer Monique Krus, and conductor Vicky Shin will join us to tell all about the performance at Tai Kwun this weekend. Plus all that's best in music through until 1pm. (9:30am-1pm, email firstname.lastname@example.org )
It’s Tuesday on Morning Brew. We start just after the 9 news today, and for the next few weeks. We’ll use the extra few minutes to play your requests and dedications. Just email, or post a note on our Facebook page. After 10.30 Aus Boy Jarrod Watt returns with the latest from Down Under and a couple of great homegrown songs. At 11.10 Dr. Merrin Pearse makes his weekly eco-stop on The Brew. And, after 12 more tech tea leaves with Morris Miselowski. Plenty to talk about today, as yesterday marked the anniversary of the birth of Twitter and the death of Netscape. Also, today is the 50th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11, which was the first mission to land astronauts on the Moon.
