Welcome to Wednesday on Morning Brew. We’re off to the sunny (even at night) Caribbean at 9.40 today to catch up with our friend Janice Jensen from Nevis Animal Speak. Do you find learning languages difficult? After 10.30 we’re going to meet visiting author polyglot Elisa Polese. She speaks 13 languages: Italian, German, Russian, English, French, Spanish, Catalan, Dutch, Greek, Arabic, Hindi, Esperanto, and Brazilian Portuguese. In her book ‘Multilingual learning: how to become fluent in multiple languages’ she maintains it’s really not that difficult (riiiiiight!). Philippe Dova from RTL France will be with us at his usual time of 11.40 today with more stories and Frenchness. No Pilates today, as Jason is busy, so instead our friend Chris Watts joins us for some health chat. (9:30am-1pm, email email@example.com )
Morning Brew: James Ross in today, Phil's back tomorrow. Comedy this morning as the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow @ Fringe Club returns to HK tonight. Billed as one of the most exciting voices in Australian Comedy, Becky Lucas joins us on the show after 11.30. Before that, it's rugby after 10 and Robbie McRobbie, big wig at Hong Kong Rugby Union will update us on the Asian Sevens, the Women's Premiership, and a throw forward to the Rugby World Cup which kicks off on Friday in Tokyo. After 11 we're off to the races with William Nader, Director of Racing at the Jockey Club - HKJC Racing. We round it all off with Paddington Bear! On Saturday 28th the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra are putting a great new concert for kids wrapped around Michael Bond's famous stories of the bear from Peru. Eric Monson is the narrator, and he'll join us after 12 to tell us more! (9:30am-1pm, email firstname.lastname@example.org )
