Welcome to Friday on Morning Brew. For a little change today, no chefs. Instead at 10.10 we’ll meet runner Rob Naylor, who’s going to run around the very flat Peak loop, and then do it again, and again...oh, and again, until he’s clocked up 100km. Rob has done some gruelling top-end runs in his time, but he doesn’t mind the boredom of this one, as he’s raising money for a wonderful cause. He’ll explain all. After 11 Danny Hicks will be with us for this week’s Sports and All. He’ll be joining us on Facebook live (via video) with news of the gradual resumption of sport, including Aussie rugby league and golf’s European Tour. At 11.40 today, the final part of James Ross’ mini-series “Music of My Life”, featuring Steve Norman from Spandau Ballet. At 12.10 we’re off to the movies with MB critic James Marsh. Join us on Facebook live throughout. (9:30am-1pm, email firstname.lastname@example.org and Facebook)
Welcome to Tuesday on Morning Brew. As you will know, our yearly charity drive Operation Santa Claus has been going for nearly a month. All in all times are quite hard this year, but some groups and businesses here keep giving, come what may. One of them is the Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel. Hugh Chiverton went to their Christmas tree lighting yesterday, and at 10.10 we’ll find out what makes them keep coming back. After 10.30 Aus Boy Jarrod Watt will be with us with the latest from his home country, plus a couple of brand new tracks. At 11.10 environmentalist Dr. Merrin Pearse returns to save the planet, one plastic leaf at a time. Morris Miselowski will be with us on Thursday this week. At 12.10 today we catch up with Canadian adventurer and film maker Markus Pukonen (wherever he may be), who continues to travel around the world without the use of power.
