Welcome to Tuesday on Morning Brew. We begin today with news of former Hollywood big gun Harvey Weinstein being convicted of various sexual assaults, which on the surface is a victory for the #MeToo movement. Done and dusted? Well, not according to writer and a former editor of The Nation magazine, JoAnn Wypijewski. She has been following this trial avidly, and along with other close observers feels that "it’s very hard to see how justice won today". We find out why at 10.10. After 10.30 Aus Boy Jarrod Watt returns with all the news from Down Under, plus music from The Barons of Tang and The Putbacks. At 11.10 we travel to Whakatane in New Zealand to catch up with Dr. Merrin Pearse. We’ll attempt a Facebook live video link. After 12, more business futurism with Morris Miselowski, live from Melbourne.

Welcome to Friday on Morning Brew. We have a chef of a different kind at 10.40 today. Brewer Luke Yardley of Yardley Brothers Beer fame joins us. He’ll give you a crash course in brewing, and tell the wonderful Hong Kong story of how he started his now very successful business in his living room. After 12 we’re off to the movies with James Marsh. Join him on Facebook Live for this week’s hits and misses, including Judy, Bad Boys For Life, and sifting through the Oscar Nominations. Who was snubbed? Who was unworthy? And who deserves to take home the gold statue on 9 Feb? (9:30am-1pm, email firstname.lastname@example.org and Facebook)
