Welcome to a new week on Morning Brew. We’ll begin as usual at 10.10 with all the latest local and Asian rugby news from Robbie McRobbie. New York Correspondent and best selling author Tracy Quan joins us after 10.30. Apparently New York now has a Covid management system in place that actually... works, or so Tracy thinks. After 11, the first of a handful of reports by Hugh on how people are fundraising and giving to Operation Santa Claus. It’s interesting to find out how some of the big companies who regularly help our yearly drive with fun events actually do it. Today he talks with May Lam from Swire about their roadshow with a difference. This one includes the 2020 theme song, which is performed by Pakho Chau, who was being filmed singing as Hugh and May chatted. At 12.10 today our final report from Switzerland with Neil Runcieman. He’s leaving for pastures new this week, and will like become our “French countryside” correspondent.
Welcome to Friday on Morning Brew. If anyone knows about cleanliness and sterilisation it’s (morning) brewer Luke Yardley, boss of Hong Kong’s first “front room” beer company, Yardley Brothers Beer. He joins us at 10.10 today for a chat. After 12, as it’s Friday, we’re off to the movies with our reviewer James Marsh, to find out about the best and worst of what’s not on this week.
