Jarrod Watt – Aussie journalist / Morris Miselowski – Business futurism / Merrin Pearse – Sustainabilist

Good morning and welcome to Tuesday. At 10.10 on today’s Morning Brew, some wonderful music, but for a very sad reason. Legendary Italian composer Ennio Morricone died yesterday. We’ll play something from his earliest solo film scoring credit (from 1961) and then of course two of the absolute greats... with a tiny bit of explanation. He composed masses of music outside the world of film too (including what we’d call symphonic and chamber works), but unfortunately it would take a fist full of Morning Brews to be able to fully demonstrate his wide ranging genius. After 10.30 Jarrod Watt is back with this week’s Aus news, and undoubtedly another link to the afore mentioned maestro. After 12 we have more biz futurism with Morris Miselowski, who joins us live from Melbourne, Australia. Today: Facebook gets tough with both the Hong Kong and Australian governments. Dr. Merrin Pearse will be with us at 12.40 for today’s eco bit, as he’s busy during his regular time. (9:30am-1pm, email morningbrew@rthk.hk and Facebook)

Timothy Ng and Dr Gary Harfitt – Ocean Park / Jarrod Watt – Aussie journalist / Steve Norman – Music of My Life / Merrin Pearse – Sustainabilist / Morris Miselowski – Business futurism

    主持人:James Ross

James Ross in for Phil, and a busy show which kicks off after 10 with a focus on Ocean Park, which has been getting somewhat of a bad rap recently. Director of Operations Timothy Ng, and Dr Gary Harfitt, Associate Dean from Hong Kong University, and part of Ocean Park's Education committee will be on. They'll tell us, firstly about the how the park is running without visitors at the moment, and then more importantly, talking about some of the conservation and education work that is the backbone of Ocean Park. After 10.30 all things Aussie with Jarrod Watt, who's recently annointed himself leader of the campaign to get NZ Prime Minister Jacina Ardern installed as Australian Prime Minister. After 11 the second part of this week's “Music of My Life” series with Steve Norman from Spandau Ballet (Official). Steve's the guy who played the amazing sax solo on their huge hit True, and more hot music picks from him. After 11.30 Merrin Pearse will join us with a special guest to talk about Otters in Hong Kong. And we round it off with Morris Miselowski - Business Futurist, Keynote Presenter, Broadcaster as we focus on the future of transportation. Plus the best in music through until 1pm.
