Welcome to Friday on Morning Brew. At 10.10 today we’re off to San Francisco to meet The Westbound Rower and founder of the NGO Around-n-Over, Erden Eruç. In conjunction with Hong Kong’s Ocean Recovery Alliance this multi Guinness World Record holding rower is about to take on “The Great Pacific Challenge”; rowing solo from San Francisco to Hong Kong. We’ll find out why. At 11.10 today Danny Hicks will be with us for another edition of Sports and All. And, at 12.10 we’re off to the movies as usual with our Friday friend, and film critic, James Marsh. Join us on Facebook live throughout. (9:30am-1pm, email firstname.lastname@example.org and Facebook)
Good morning and welcome to Thursday. At 11.10 today our friendly neighbourhood vet Dr. David Gething will be with us once again. Today he’ll talk about the “anatomy” of furry infections, and answer any pet questions you may have as well. At 11.40 New York Times best-selling author Paul French reads the fourth and final newly recorded story (especially for Morning Brew) from his latest book “Destination Peking”. Today: “The Man Who Dreamt Up The Shanghai Express”. It is nearly time for this year’s Adventure Clean-up Challenge. In fact, it begins next Saturday. As we told you last year, this is no ordinary spring clean. Participants need several fairly specialised skills. But this year those skills will be slightly different, as the 2021 edition deals with Hong Kong’s trails. At 12.10 organiser Sole Riestra will be with us for that last minute briefing, and invitation to take part. (9:30am-1pm, email email@example.com and Facebook)
