Welcome to Friday on Morning Brew. At 10.10 today we’re off to San Francisco to meet The Westbound Rower and founder of the NGO Around-n-Over, Erden Eruç. In conjunction with Hong Kong’s Ocean Recovery Alliance this multi Guinness World Record holding rower is about to take on “The Great Pacific Challenge”; rowing solo from San Francisco to Hong Kong. We’ll find out why. At 11.10 today Danny Hicks will be with us for another edition of Sports and All. And, at 12.10 we’re off to the movies as usual with our Friday friend, and film critic, James Marsh. Join us on Facebook live throughout. (9:30am-1pm, email email@example.com and Facebook)
Welcome to Wednesday on Morning Brew. Firstly today we’ll find out how the “HKFC Rugby to Hanoi” went. It’s a virtual fund raising drive initiated by the club’s mini section, but as you heard a couple of weeks ago star adult player John McCormick-Houston decided to match their 869km goal by actually running and biking to Vietnam. John, and organiser Tom Wheeler, will tell us more. At 10.40 we’ll get the lowdown on last month’s 2021 Adventure Clean Up Hong Kong, with organiser Sole Riestra. As we always say, this is no ordinary spring-clean. It involves a lot of outdoor skills and endurance. Composer Colin Touchin is away for a couple of weeks and will be back soonest. At 11.40 RTL France’s Phillipe Dova joins us for his weekly chat and French musical tribute. And, after 12 we’ll be visiting Chris Watts at his Motion Dynamics studio in Central, for this week’s class. Do join him on Facebook live.
