Welcome to Tuesday on Morning Brew. Good morning. Jarrod Watt’s back today at 10.40 with this week’s Aussie news. Hmm, wonder what that will mostly concern. As always, he’s supplying the tunes too. At 11.40 Dr. Merrin Pearse will be with us, live from New Zealand. He will be discussing climate change impacts on biodiversity, and implications for Hong Kong species. He’ll be joined by Tim Bonebrake; Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at HKU. Join Merrin and Tim on Facebook live. At 12.10 biz futurist Morris Miselowski will be with us, live from Melbourne, Australia. He wants to talk about the global (post-COVID) future of transport, based on what he saw at the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Transport writer James Ockenden will join us to add the “Hong Kong bits” to Morris’s global predictions. (9:30am-1pm, email morningbrew@rthk.hk and Facebook).

Colin Touchin – Composer and conductor / Kyle Wagner – The Funkaphones

    主持人:James Ross

James Ross here this morning, and starting with a tribute to Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, who's passed away overnight at the age of 80, after almost 60 years with the band - a big shock to the music community. After 10.30 we'll focus on classical music as we uncover the world of suspense and horror in movie soundtracks. Composer and conductor Colin Touchin will join us with his insights. Philippe Dova has a day off today, so instead after 12 local band The Funkaphones have a new EP out, and we'll play a couple of tracks and meet their frontman Kyle Wagner.
