Paul and Carolyn (AKA the Pop Fugitives) are plotting to make their Escape every Sunday morning between 9 and 1.
Join them on the Sunday Escape to hear the best in new music, including three tracks from their album of the week, along with a carefully curated selection of classics, plus interviews with guests from all over the city and beyond. There’s also occasional live music in the studio and all the details of upcoming music events in Hong Kong.
On top of all that is “Biscuit Review”, now a Sunday Escape institution, a feature perfectly designed to complement the most eclectic mix of music on Radio 3.
主持人:Paul Haswell and Carolyn Wright
On this week’s Sunday Escape Paul and Carolyn work their way through all the finest of the week’s new music, with a veritable crate full of records including new LPs from Amyl And The Sniffers, James Blake and Low along with singles from Big Thief, Lana Del Rey and Baba Ali. There’s a tribute to Sarah Harding of Girls Aloud fame also, who sadly passed away this week aged just 39. There are also tributes to two other musicians we lost this week: Magnetic Fields singer Susan Anway and performer and AIDS activist Carl Bean.
All the usual features return of course, with another B side and label of the week. There’s also a listener created Super Clever Music Mystery Quiz, which is possibly the most esoteric and difficult one to date (seriously, it’s practically unsolvable!). All that, plus the usual nonsensical chat and of course biscuits.
Tune in from 9am to 1pm.
